About Me

I am a Research Associate and PhD candidate at the Otto Suhr Institute for Political Science of Freie Universität Berlin. I study the domestic and international politics of decarbonization. My current research focuses on the political conditions and consequences of institutional change and backlash in climate policy. I am also interested in broader questions around public policy and political economy. My research is mostly problem-driven, which means that I apply a wide range of theories and methods. While most of my research focuses on the German and European context, I have also studied climate and industrial policy in China, Brazil, and the United States.

At the Otto Suhr Institute, I am associated with the Center for Comparative and International Political Economy. I am also a Fellow at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. Before joining Freie Universität as a researcher, I studied international relations and political science in Dresden and Berlin. I also worked as a Research Assistant at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, the Research Institute for Sustainability in Potsdam, and the Institute of Political Science at Dresden University of Technology.
